During the COVID-19 pandemic, QCOSS has been advocating with the state government to ensure funding guarantees will be made to all non-government organisations in the social services sector with existing Queensland Government contracts.
Some services have been notified of this directly, but we can confirm that Treasurer Cameron Dick has been in contact with QCOSS this week to advise that the state government will honour all existing funding agreements and that contractual obligations may be amended in order to respond to emerging service requirements during the pandemic.
